SRP Sheave and Belt Replacement:
This procedure is applicable in all land operations where the replacement of sheaves and belts must be carried out on beam pump pumping units.
This activity aims to reestablish or improve pump action, mitigate down hold issues (fluid pound), and carry out a visual inspection of the belt to verify any signs of wear and any other problems that may indicate the reasons that promoted or could cause failure.

Equipment, Materials & Tools
For the execution of the Sheave and Belt Replacement Service, each crew requires the following:
- One Crane
- Adjustable wrenches of different diameters
- To hold rod string, two 3-point clamps (50,000 lbs) each
- Sling
- Socket wrenches
- Set of screwdrivers
- Ladder
- Pipe wrenches of different diameters
- One torque wrench
- Meter and tape measure
- One 1-1/4 Impact wrench
- Hammer
- Chisel

- Two Field Technicians with advanced knowledge in SRP operation/maintenance.
